| Techonlogy before the TV was introduced. |
Before TV was invented life in Australia consited of daily cours or go play with you friends if you got bored if you lived on a farm. If you lived in the city your life consit of making your own fun if you could or you would have to hang around the streets or meet your freinds and go off to a party or visit the shopping malls. Life just would have been boring without TV or thats what I think anyway. | ||||||||||||||||

Television or something similar has been needed as a form of communication during the 1940's -1950s and was vital to the people as a form of knowing what was going on around the War time period. Television was a grate step towards everybody knowing what was going on in the world as well as highlighting the great developments or failures in the world. Which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the case and what people think and say therefore the television was good because it made people talk and come closer together. In times of war, poverty and recession the television was a great form of entertainment Eg. Neighbours would come to other peoples houses with television to (back in early times) to watch the news or occasionally a movie. Now days you go around to a friends place to argue about who is going to win the football or other sports usually. So for a lot of reason the invention of television was the second best invention apart for the telephone. | Development and need for new technology. | ||||||||||||||||

| Impact of new technology |
When television was invented there was some good and bad impacts on society. Some of the good impacts where: 1. The interaction people formed around the television. 2. People got a lot of information in a sort time. 3. A lot of money could be made from the ads on television. 4. Ads meant that people who didn't get out to see the bargains at the shops much could see the bargains on television. 5. A good movie could be shown on television and could be seen in the privacy of your own home. Some of the bad impacts where: 1. Not every body can afford a television. 2. The information given on the news can often be blown up. 3. Ads cost a lot of money to put on the television. 4. The Ads on television might not show a particular product that you desire. 5. The movie has ads in between them and cut a little bit of the movie. As you can see television has some up and down sides. But in all it is a good invention. D Effects and costs in finance/labour etc. Television has costed different prises from present day to back when it was first invented. The costs in finance where Now: Affordable Then: Highly priced Costs spent in the labour force: Now: machines do most of the work costing less in the long term but the new technology costs more when it is bought then the workers cost to employ but pay off in the long run. Then: the labour force then was big and it costed a lot to make a television as all the putting together of parts and body was all done by people who also had to be trained (machines don't have to be trained just programmed which costs a lot less). The televisions where a lot bigger back the so that meant bigger thing where put into it or more things which meant more work and more time making it which means less production in one day. The cost on supply: Now: the supply of televisions is always exceeding demand. Then: the television would have been in demand at some stage during the early developments of the television but probably would have been supply exceeding demand in most cases. | ||||||||||||||||
